A Day in the Life: Balancing Motherhood, Business, and a Full-Time Career

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about juggling a corporate career, running a business, and being a mom, it’s this: balance isn’t about doing everything perfectly—it’s about making it work your way. Some days, it feels like I’m in a constant relay race, passing the baton from one responsibility to the next. But at the heart of it all, I wouldn’t trade this crazy, rewarding journey for anything.

So, what does a day in my life look like? Let’s dive in.

☀️ 4:30 AM – The Early Hustle Begins

The alarm goes off before the sun is even thinking about rising. Do I want to hit snooze? Always. But I know that these quiet moments before the chaos help me set the tone for the day.

Most mornings I prefer start with a quick run(although some mornings I can’t resist the morning baby cuddles)—not just for fitness, but for mental clarity. Running gives me the space to process, plan, and just breathe before I dive into the day.

By 5:30 AM, it’s time to get ready and head to Bellevue for my corporate job. Coffee? Non-negotiable.

☕ 6:00 AM – Corporate Mode Activated

The drive to work is my time to catch up on podcasts, think through business ideas, or just enjoy the quiet. Once I arrive, it's all about short-term planning, meetings, and keeping operations running smoothly.

While I’m focused on my corporate role, my entrepreneur brain never fully shuts off. I use lunch breaks to check in on Evergreen Sunless, respond to DMs, or draft ideas for social media posts. My business may be mobile, but I’m always working on ways to make it more efficient, more visible, and more valuable for my clients.

2:30 PM – Transitioning from Work to Mom Mode

The workday might end at 2:30, but the real juggling act begins now. I rush to pick up my little one and head home—navigating traffic, snack requests, and an excited developing chatter box.

Once we’re home, it’s a mix of playtime, dinner prep, and squeezing in any business admin tasks. If I have a mobile spray tan appointment, I make sure to have everything prepped in advance so I can head out seamlessly.

5:30 PM – Building Evergreen Sunless

Evenings are when Evergreen Sunless comes to life. Whether it’s:

Heading out for a mobile spray tan appointment
Working on marketing & content creation
Connecting with clients & planning upcoming promotions

…it’s all about taking small, consistent steps to grow my business without burning out. Some nights are busier than others, but I always remind myself that every bit of effort builds momentum.

8:30 PM – Family, Friends & Winding Down

After putting my little one to bed, I try to reconnect with family and friends—because let's be honest, it’s easy to get lost in the grind. Whether it's a FaceTime call, a quick text check-in, or actually scheduling time to see friends, I make sure I’m nurturing my relationships, not just my to-do list.

By 9:30 PM, I’m winding down. Sometimes that means watching a show, reading, or planning the next day. Other times, it means just sitting in silence and appreciating how far I’ve come.

💡 The Secret to Balancing It All?

The truth is, there’s no perfect formula. Some days, I crush everything on my list; other days, I just do my best. What keeps me going is:

Prioritizing what matters – My family, my business, and my well-being always come first.
Being intentional with my time – Even 15 minutes of focused effort adds up.
Giving myself grace – Some days are harder than others, and that’s okay.

Running a business while being a mom, wife and managing a corporate career isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. Because at the end of the day, I’m building something meaningful—for my family, for my future, and for myself.
