Through the seasons: year one with evergreen sunless
This month marks a milestone I’m incredibly grateful for - one year of Evergreen Sunless. What began as a simple vision has grown into something far more meaningful: a space where clients feel confident, cared for, and radiant in their own skin.
The journey so far
In the past year, Evergreen Sunless has become about much more that spray tans. It has been about celebrating life’s big moments - from brides walking down the aisle, to vacation send-offs, to everyday pick-me-ups that add a little extra confidence. Each appointment has been a chance to meet wonderful people, share conversations, and help bring out a sense of brightness that goes beyond the surface.
Along the way, I’ve been so grateful for a community of beauty professionals and small business owners who have welcomed me, shared their wisdom, and reminded me that this journey is filled with both learning and growth. It hasn’t all been easy - there have been struggles and plenty of hard work - but the support I’ve found in this community has made all the difference.
One of the many highlights of this first year was the invite and opportunity to teach a class of wonderful students. Being invited to teach was not only humbling but also a reminder of how far Evergreen Sunless has come in just one year.
A deeper meaning
This business being born out of a season of personal challenge. I poured my energy in Evergreen Sunless not just as a creative outlet, but as a way to continue rewriting what was possible for myself and my family. What started as a small idea become a path forward - proof that even in hard times, something beautiful and lasting can grow.
Although building a business takes time, this first year has shown me that small steps create real change. Evergreen Sunless is thriving, and it represents more than spray tans - it’s about altering the path, setting an example for my family, and proving that what once felt impossible can be mad possible with persistence, heart, and hard work.
Why we celebrate now
Anniversaries aren’t tied to just one day. They’re a chance to pause and honor the journey - the season of effort, late nights, early mornings, learning curves, and the joy of connecting with this community. Every returning client, kind review, and word-of-mouth referral has built the foundation for Evergreen Sunless, and for that I’m deeply thankful.
Looking ahead
Closing out year one is just the beginning. I’m excited for what’s to come - new services, deeper community roots, and finding fresh ways to bring clients not just a tan, but an experience that feels uplifting and personalized. The story of Evergreen Sunless is still being written, and I can’t wait to see where year two takes.
